Wishing to Visit my Ma and Pa While Both Still Healthy and Alive!

(OLD NOTES WRITTEN IN AUG 18, 2011) Hello Ladies and Gents, I have been wanting to visit my parents back home (PHILIPPINES) but it is difficult  for now due to work schedule and of course finances. The only way I could keep in contact with them is via long distance telephone call. My dad he is not in his best health wise. He has some issues and like some old folks who haven't gone to be seen by doctors all their life and my dad is one of them. You literally have to drag him or maybe even pick him up and carry him put him on taxi and take him to the doctor. I love my dad but he sure is a a scardy cat when it comes to doctors.

My Mom she is also a 73 years old. A mother, a fighter, a strong willed woman who brought up eleven children in this world. I salute her for being able to bring us up despite of povertiness. I can't even picture myself to be on her shoes. How she dealt with it, I give her lots of credits for it! I would never have thought that our parents gets old and frail and need assistance sooner or later. I use to see my parents as a fighter. They never give up!  They work hard on day to day basis just to feed us all. They were always there for us good times and bad. My mother her beautiful smile just lit up the room whenever she is around. She is very witty or should I say knows how to make us laugh. I wish I'd see them every single day for their time in this world are getting short. I would love to tell them how much I love them and how much they are meant to me. Right now, I am in a Western side of the world. They are more than 13000 miles away from me. I have been here in US over 12 years and I visited them twice for a short period of time. Life isn't fair and sometimes very difficult. I would love to give my parents a better life. A better house where they don't get wet when rainy seasons is around. When they lay down on a hard splintery wood floor, they don't need to see the stars over a multiple holes on top of their roof with no ceilings. I would love to give them a bed where they don't have to see the bottom dirt underneath the splintery wood flooring. I would love to provide them a cement over dirt floor on their living room. I would love to provide them a gas cooker over coconut husk, twigs and tree limbs as their means of propane. Papa and Mama, I may have never said this very often but I do love you so much!
I can only help you so much and I feel that it is not enough. Someday, things will be different. Someday, I would find a way to help you more than I could do now. I wish to see you both when time comes. I will be praying and working hard to reach that goal! I promised. Thank you all folks and have a great day!

03/17/2013)UPDATE!

P.S.
Still Grieving! The note above was my prayer to go see my parents but Mom passed away before I could make a trip to the Philippines. I know she is in a better place now. Where no hurt-ache nor pain. It is very painful to have our mother taken away from us. Especially when I was not there when she was ready to go. All I could do was to be strong for her, bracing for the moment  knowing that she will leave us. I was stricken with anguish not knowing what to do because I knew this is inevitable. Till to this day, every now and then my lovely handsome husband would find me blubbering in the bathroom being sad for my mom. I can't get over with sadness for I love my MOTHER so dearly and deeply. I'm writing this note simply to share with you guys that if your parents still alive cherish and treasure every moment you are with them. Appreciate them, tell them how much you care for them, if you haven't said so now it's the time because life is too short!  Have a good nite and be safe!
